Privacy Policy
How we interact with your data. Please read this policy in full.
Our Philosophy
It's incredibly important to us that you are aware of what data we're collecting and what it is being used for. We aim to collect and use the minimum amount of data possible while still allowing us to offer our services, improve our services, and offer support to you.
What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to information that Jump Credit LLC (“Jump Credit,” “we,” us” or “our”) collects when you use our Services here on this website, app.jumpcredit.org. A separate Privacy Policy applies for visitors to our main website, www.jumpcredit.org, which can be found here.

Throughout this Privacy Policy we’ll refer to this website and any software products that we offer as “Services.” When we refer to "your data" or "information", we're referring to any data that you've uploaded to the site or that we've collected automatically through operating our Services -- regardless of whether you are the subject of the data or not. Below we explain how we collect, use, and share information.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Jump Credit may change its Privacy Policy from time to time. Jump Credit encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. If we make changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on the login page. Your further use of the Services after a change to our Privacy Policy will be subject to the updated policy.
Your Choices
You have several choices available when it comes to your data:
  • Limit the Information that You Provide: If you have an account with us, you can choose not to provide certain information. Please keep in mind that if you do not provide this information, certain features of our Services may not be accessible.
  • Request Deletion of Your Sensitive Data: If you have an account with us, you can request that certain qualifying data be deleted. Please see the Requesting Deletion of Your Data section below for more information.
  • Set Your Browser to Reject Cookies: At this time, Jump Credit does not respond to “do not track” signals across all of our Services. You can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies before using our Services, with the drawback that certain features of our Services may not function properly without the aid of cookies.
  • Close your Account: If you no longer want to use our Services, you can close your Jump Credit account. Please keep in mind that some of your data may be retained after closing your account, as described in the How Long Information Is Kept section below.
  • Information We Collect
    We only collect your data if we have a reason to do so–for example, to provide our Services, to communicate with you, or to make our Services better. We collect your data in two ways: when you provide your data to us and automatically through operating our Services. Let’s go over the information that we collect.

    Information You Provide to Us
    It’s probably no surprise that we collect information that you provide to us. When you use our software, you may upload information to use certain features. Here is how we categorize the information that you may provide to us:
    • Account Information: This is information that you provide to us when creating an account, such as your name, your organization, and your email address.
    • Organization Information: This is information that you provide to us to customize the software for your organization, such as your contact information, your organization's logo, and any information you may include in a stored email template that you upload to the Service.
    • Sensitive Credit Data: This is information from a credit report that identifies or could be used to identify an individual such as full name, street address, email address, Social Security number, or phone number. This also includes account numbers.
    • Non-Identifying Credit Data: This is information from a credit report that, when separated from Sensitive Credit Data or any other personal information, could likely not be used to identify an individual, including but not limited to account names, account balances, account types, dates that accounts were opened, and payment history. This also includes information calculated from Non-Identifying Credit Data, such as the total number of accounts. Storing this data helps us provide our "Analytics" feature.
    • Client Email Address: These are email addresses that you may provide at the time of uploading a report in the 'client' field that will be a recipient of the files sent.
    • Staff Email Address: These are email addresses that you may provide at the time of uploading a report in the 'staff' field that will be a recipient of the files sent.
    • Text Message Recipient Phone Number: This is a cell phone number that you may provide at the time of uploading a report that will receive a code to open the emailed files.
    • Text Message Content: This includes the code that will be used to open the emailed files.
    • Communications with Us: This includes information you may provide when you respond to surveys or respond to support emails.

    Information We Collect Automatically
    We also collect some information automatically:
    • Log Information: Like most online service providers, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language preference, referring site, the date and time of access, operating system, and mobile network information. We collect log information when you use our Services–for example, when you create or make changes to your account settings.
    • Usage Information: We collect information about your use of our Services. For example, we collect information on how often you use the Service. We use this information to, among other things, get insights on how people use our Services so that we can make our Services better.
    • Location Information: We may determine the approximate location of your device from your IP address. We collect and use this information to, for example, calculate how many people visit our Services from certain geographic regions.
    • Information from Cookies & Other Technologies: A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Pixel tags (also called web beacons) are small blocks of code placed on websites and emails.
    How We Use Information
    We use information about you as mentioned above and as follows:
    • To provide our Services: For example, to set up your account, to analyze a credit report, email a file, send a text message, or offer analytics;
    • To further develop our Services: For example, ensuring that existing features work well and developing new features and products;
    • To monitor and analyze trends: For example, to better understand how users interact with our Services;
    • To monitor and protect the security of our Services: For example, to detect and prevent illegal activities, fight spam, and protect the rights and property of Jump Credit and others;
    • To communicate with you: For example through an email to provide you with support and updates about our services;
    • To personalize your experience using our Services: For example, to let you know about a new feature we're releasing, or to customize your use of the software.
    How We Share Information
    We do not sell our users’ private personal information.

    We share information about you in the limited circumstances spelled out below and with appropriate safeguards on your privacy:
    • Employees and Independent Contractors: We may disclose information about you to our employees and individuals who are our independent contractors that need to know the information in order to help us provide our Services or to process the information on our behalf.
    • Third Party Vendors: We may share information about you with third party vendors who need to know information about you in order to provide their services to us. This group includes vendors that help us provide our Services to you and those that help us understand and enhance our Services. Some of these vendors may include MailGun (for emails), Twilio (for text messages), and Google (for email). For your protection, we attempt to minimize how much data is stored with one third party vendor.
    • As Required by Law: We may disclose information about you in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request.
    • To Protect Rights and Property: We may disclose information about you when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Jump Credit, third parties, or the public at large. For example, if we have a good faith belief that there is an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury, we may disclose information related to the emergency without delay.
    • Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company, or in the unlikely event that Jump Credit goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would likely be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. If any of these events were to happen, this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to your information and the party receiving your information may continue to use your information, but only consistent with this Privacy Policy.
    • With Your Consent: We may share and disclose information with your consent or at your direction.
    • Aggregated and De-Identified Information: We may share information that has been aggregated or reasonably de-identified, so that the information could not reasonably be used to identify you. For instance, we may publish aggregate statistics about the use of our Services, such as the total number of reports processed, or the average number of credit cards across all reports uploaded.
    • Published Support Requests: If you send us a request (for example, via a support email or one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish that request in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users.
    How Long Information is Kept
    We generally discard your data from our records when we no longer need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it (which are described in the section above on How We Use Information).

    All Sensitive Credit Data (as defined in the Information We Collect section above) is deleted from our records within 3 days. Please note that some data types may remain in our backups and caches until purged. Additionally, some data may be stored indefinitely to comply with our agreements with third party vendors.
    Requesting Deletion of Your Data
    If you have an account with us, you may request for your Information You Provide to Us (as defined above) to be deleted from our records by sending us an email. You may lose access to certain features or to your entire account by requesting deletion of your data. You may request that we delete all data related to your account, or request that we delete a subset of the data on your account of a given data type in a given date range.

    Upon sending us a valid deletion request through email, we'll delete the information within 10 days from our records. Please note: (1) Deleted content may remain in our backups and caches until purged. (2) Data may be retained if it has already been aggregated or completely de-identified and cannot be connected back to you or your organization. (3) Some of your data may be retained temporarily or indefinitely to comply with our agreements. For example, text message recipient phone numbers must be stored with our SMS provider for a minimum of 120 days, and email recipient data may be stored with our email provider indefinitely.
